Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 3, 2026
This policy covers AI Higher Ed Podcast Publisher, the private publishing application operated by Ralph Aldredge, PhD, PE for AIHigherEdToday.com and the AI in Higher Education podcast. The application uses YouTube API Services solely to publish and manage podcast content on the operator’s authorized YouTube channel. It is not offered for public account connections.
Information and use. With the account holder’s authorization, the application uploads podcast videos and accesses or updates associated video identifiers, titles, descriptions, tags, publication status, and schedules. It stores Google OAuth access and refresh tokens locally to maintain authorization. It does not collect Google passwords. Listening to the podcast does not require Google authorization.
Storage and sharing. OAuth credentials and publishing records are stored on the operator’s computer, with access limited to authorized operation and maintenance. Content and metadata are sent to YouTube for publication; published video links may also appear on the podcast website and distribution platforms. Google account data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models.
Account access and control. This is a private publishing tool used only by the operator. Podcast listeners and website visitors do not connect their Google accounts to this tool, and the tool does not collect or store their Google account data. The operator can revoke the tool’s access through Google’s account permissions page and delete its locally stored authorization and account data. Deleting locally stored data does not delete videos or other content held by YouTube; those can be managed separately through YouTube Studio.
Third-party services. Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. This policy concerns the private publishing application. The public podcast website, third-party podcast players, and distribution platforms may process visitor or listener information separately under their applicable privacy policies.
